Catchimals Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 11, 2026

Catchimals lets players photograph animals, develop film, save collections, use public profile and gallery features, watch rewarded ads, and buy optional in-app items.

Information We Collect

We may collect account information such as user ID, email address, display name, sign-in provider, profile text, and avatar choices. We collect gameplay data such as catches, scores, badges, film roll state, purchases, settings, likes, comments, and public gallery activity.

When you use camera and collection features, Catchimals processes photos you take and may upload selected gameplay photos to Firebase Storage. Location is optional and is not required to photograph animals, progress, use worldwide social features, or compete in worldwide rankings.

If you enable Location Features, Catchimals may attach a location to each new picture at the moment it is taken. Public catches share only an approximate catch area, coarsened to about 0.75 km; exact capture coordinates remain private. Pictures taken while Location Features are off stay unlocated permanently. Changing the setting later does not rewrite or backfill earlier catches.

We collect device and diagnostic data such as push notification tokens, installation IDs, app errors, device state needed for ads or notifications, and basic app interaction data needed to operate and protect the service.

Ads And Purchases

Catchimals uses Google AdMob for rewarded ads and store providers for in-app purchases. These providers may process identifiers, purchase history, diagnostics, and ad-related data under their own policies. Where required, Catchimals asks for consent before requesting ads.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide gameplay, sync progress across devices, prevent abuse, process purchases, send notifications, operate public gallery/social features, improve reliability, and respond to support or deletion requests.

Sharing

Public profile, gallery, worldwide leaderboard, comments, and catch information you choose to publish can be visible to other signed-in players whether or not a catch has location. When present, other players see only the approximate public catch area, not the exact capture coordinates. We use Firebase, Google, Apple, and payment/ad providers to operate the app. We do not sell personal information.

Your Choices

You can enable or disable Location Features at any time in Catchimals Options and also control device location permission in system settings. Turning Location Features off stops future location capture and disables reciprocal location-based features such as Nearby, local rankings, Near Me, Capture Maps, distance filters, and wildlife proximity alerts; the rest of the game remains available. You can also manage audio, gallery comments, notifications, ad privacy choices where available, and request account deletion from Options.
